Screechy Rally
A compact top-down time-attack racer by ProYd. Practise your drift, unlock medals or race a friend locally.
A rally game built around a better line
Screechy Rally is a top-down time-attack racing game by ProYd. The author describes solo medals, a worldwide leaderboard and a local two-player race. Its compact 2D view keeps the focus on steering, drifting and choosing a route through each bend.
Start with one track and aim for a clean run. Braking slightly earlier can give you a more useful exit than carrying too much speed into the inside of a corner. Once you can finish consistently, adjust one corner at a time and compare your next attempt.
Controls and play options
Choose your keyboard mapping in the main menu. The game provides accelerate, brake, turn and reset-to-checkpoint actions. Press Escape or Tab to open the pause menu during a race. The author lists controller support as experimental. Use a keyboard on desktop for the most predictable setup; we do not promise touch controls.
How it compares with DirtBound
If you enjoy repeating laps and practising your line in DirtBound, this is a related game to explore. It has its own physics and track presentation, with no shared records or progression. Browse Rally Games for the collection, or try Drift for a smaller steering-focused challenge.
Credits and source
The game is hosted by its creator on Screechy Rally on itch.io. The author lists an MIT code licence and CC0 asset licence; the original page also contains the full music and art credits. This page embeds the itch.io-hosted player. Its cover is an original fan-site illustration.
