What is DirtBound?
DirtBound is a browser racing game built around timed driving, gravel stages and circuit racing. Its official menu offers solo play, multiplayer, a daily challenge, a garage and a track editor. The solo menu separates circuit laps from mountain rally stages, so you can choose between repeating a familiar route and reacting to a newly generated road.
This is DirtBound Fan Hub, an independent, personally operated fan site. We provide original guides and a small collection of related racing games. DirtBound itself is created by Luke Baffait and Victor Boutros. The official game runs at dirtbound.fr; our Play button opens that website in a separate window.
Choose your kind of rally run
| Mode | What to expect | What to practise |
|---|---|---|
| Rally stage | A generated mountain road, with length and landscape options in the official menu. | Reading the next corner and leaving room for corrections. |
| Circuit | Timed laps, a leaderboard and a record ghost. | Repeating braking points and improving one section at a time. |
| Daily challenge | A ranked challenge selected for the day. | Learning the available route before chasing a faster run. |
The official game also has multiplayer and a circuit editor. Their availability and current options are managed by the developers. This fan site does not run the game servers or provide a separate account system for the official game.
Getting comfortable on gravel
- Start with a manageable run. Use solo play to learn the car before worrying about a leaderboard. A completed stage teaches more than repeatedly restarting after the first bend.
- Look past the bonnet. Watch where the road goes next. Entering a blind corner with a little margin gives you time to adjust when the route tightens.
- Make deliberate inputs. Practise a short steering input, let the car settle, then correct. Constant left-right corrections make it harder to learn what caused a slide.
- Repeat a circuit for comparison. Pick a visible braking landmark and change one thing on the next lap. You can compare your approach without the road changing underneath you.
These are fan-written practice suggestions, not a promise of faster times. If you prefer a compact 2D time-attack game, try Screechy Rally. For a simpler exercise focused on steering an automatically accelerating car, play Drift.
More games for the same racing mood
Our Rally Games collection brings DirtBound and Screechy Rally together around timed driving and learning a line. The Drifting Games category focuses on keeping a sliding car under control. These games have different physics and controls; progress, leaderboards and accounts are not shared between them.
DirtBound questions
Is dirtbound.fun the official DirtBound website?
No. This is an independent fan site run by an individual. The official game website is dirtbound.fr. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers.
Why does Play open another window?
The official website restricts embedding on other domains. We link directly to the original game so it can run in its own browser window. On a phone, the browser may use a new tab. If your browser blocks the window, use the visible new-tab link below the Play button.
Can I play DirtBound on my phone?
The official game includes touch steering: put a finger down and slide towards the direction you want to go; the car accelerates automatically. Performance depends on your device and browser. Open the official game to check its current graphics and control options.
Do I need an account?
The official menu offers solo play and a separate Google sign-in option. Accounts, online features and any personal data submitted there are handled by the official game. Comments posted here belong only to this fan site.
Who made DirtBound?
The official credits list Luke Baffait for art direction, interface, 3D and development, and Victor Boutros for server, infrastructure and development. Artwork shown on our launch card is an original fan-site illustration, not an official game logo or gameplay screenshot.
