Escape Road
Keep a getaway car moving through a city while police pursue. Read the next junction, avoid being boxed in and survive a little longer.
What is Escape Road?
Escape Road is an arcade getaway driving game from AZGames. You control a car in a city while police vehicles try to end the escape. The streets, traffic and buildings create a constantly changing route problem: every turn can open another way out or leave you with less space to manoeuvre.

The classic browser build starts outside a bank with an A/D or left/right-arrow prompt. Beginning the run moves the camera with the getaway car and activates the chase. A score and currency display provide feedback, but the immediate challenge is simpler: remain mobile and keep the next stretch of road usable.
Escape Road controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| A/D / Left/Right arrows | Start and steer |
| S / Down arrow | Brake or reverse |
How to survive the opening chase
Choose an open street before making the turn. A sudden correction can move the car out of one collision and directly into a wall, so use shorter inputs while learning the steering response. Look at the road beyond the car as well as the nearest police vehicle. You need room to continue after avoiding the first obstacle.
When a junction is clear, it can be better to establish a clean line through it than to change direction repeatedly. If you enter a narrow space, identify the exit before committing. The goal of an early practice run is to understand which gaps the car can negotiate, rather than to collect every piece of currency in view.
Making better decisions under pursuit
Think one move ahead. A route that is temporarily empty may become difficult if its far end closes against a building or a group of cars. Wider sections give you more options to steer around trouble, while short, measured turns help you keep some control after contact.
Use repeated attempts to isolate a specific mistake. If the car frequently gets trapped after the same type of turn, approach a similar junction more slowly and make a smaller input. If you tend to watch only the pursuers, shift your attention forward for the next attempt. These adjustments are more useful than assuming a new vehicle will solve every route problem.
Escape Road questions
Is this Escape Road 3?
No. This page loads the classic Escape Road build. The sequel has a separate page and a different feature set, including a leave-or-enter-vehicle control. Follow the instructions for the version actually on screen.
What is the most useful beginner habit?
Keep looking for the next open section of street. Reacting only when the car touches an obstacle makes the escape harder to recover.
Does a larger collection of cars replace driving practice?
No. Whatever vehicle is available, you still need to read the road and make usable turns. Learn the basic steering before judging a car from a short, collision-filled attempt.
